Hogwash... it begins


So, this was originally designed for the Kenny Jam 2019, it's a physics based game where you need to smash blocks away to make other bits move. then your player drops down towards a bath, but the player must be in the correct form or it won't work. Also you need to roll a dice to get moves so that you can break the blocks, oh, and you have to hit the correct 'Totem' animals to get into the correct form... and do thi before either the time or your lives run out.

I had planned on spending the full 48 hours developing this but life got in the way and I got to do maybe 5-6 hours, but I think it could be a fun little game with some more development.  The rules state that you can only use Kenney assets but I couldn't find UI buttons that I liked so swapped out my own instead (do I get disqualified for that?), I found the hardest part of the jam was using someone else's assets, I am so used to wearing every hat that when I need an asset I either go to my own library or make them. Using a predefined library should in theory speed up a process of design, and I suppose if I knew the library it maybe would have been, but I found it a bit of a struggle, I do love the backgrounds though.

Overall a fun Jam, and looking at the entries there have been some awesome games created over the last 48 hours so I'm off to give some a whirl, (although there appear to be a couple of entries missing Jamie and Reece?), then I'll get back to finishing some of my other projects, including this one!
